MICHAEL JACKSON, JESUS, AND PURPOSE DRIVEN MYTH

From Apprising Minsitries

From Purpose Driven.com of Rick Warren we have this piece by David Pack who is:

is a Grammy winning recording artist, producer, and music director. A member of Saddleback Church, he works with Rick Warren on special projects, including the PEACE Plan and AIDS & Worship Conferences. (Online source)

In the article Pack describes how he brought all his “friends” together, which also included the late Michael Jackson. Pack then concludes:

If there’s anything that gives me peace during this moment of loss, it’s knowing that one of the greatest artists of our time is now moon-walking along the gold paved roads of heaven, where streets have no name, with a broad smile on his face, and a band of angels welcoming him home. Michael, my friend, rest in heavenly peace. (Online source)

But now this becomes an excellent example of the danger posed when evangelicals are now thinking with their subjective “feelings,” where one just “knows” because you believe something with “all your heart.” When the truth is, his sentimental feelings aside, Pack knows nothing of the sort concerning Michael Jackson.

Sadly, Jackson’s often outlandish and frequently bizarre behavior gave zero appearance of the transforming power of Jesus Christ. For a different perspective than that of the Purpose Driven Pack see Mikaeel (Michael) Jackson: A Sobering Reminder.

There, as well as here, and here, and in this post Purpose-Driven Connection: Michael Jackson Loved Jesus with All His Heart from Slice of Laodicea today, you’ll see pretty credible evidence that Jackson had indeed converted to the false world religion of Islam with their phony god Allah; which is not the one true and living God of the Bible, but actually demons impersonating Him.

  1. It is sad that there are people out there that call themselves christians spewing such hate and rumors about someone. There were many things written about Michael that weren't true. People will say or do anything for money. You know nothing of the talks or relationship that these two men shared or had with Christ. How do you know what Mr. Pack knows? I guess you are God himself now. The Jesus of the bible is a loving and forgiving God. You don't know when or what transpired between Michael and the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm sure you have no sins in your life as a believer right now. If you say no scripture says you are a liar. You don't know if Michael placed his trust in Jesus Christ alone. We all fail in our walk with the Lord. That's why Jesus gave his life. Nothing that we do, but what his blood does for us. We grow in grace and love in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Seems to me you are like one of the Pharisees Jesus spoke of. Are you trusting in Jesus alone? I don't know you, but I could say many things about you, but does that make it true? If this man says Michael put his trust in Jesus, who are you to say he didn't? Do you know either one of them? Seems to me you if you are a christian you have not grown very much. Jesus is our judge. You might be surprised when you leave here. How does that feel for me to doubt you are a believer? At least you could lovingly say that you pray Michael had received Jesus as his Savior, instead of spreading hate and gossip. Do you know what you said to be fact? It comes from people that motivation is money. Jesus came to save not condem. If Mr. pack knew Michael and you didn't I think he would know more than you would. Remember everything written is not fact. I'll pray for you, and my prayers are that Michael actually did put his trust in Jesus Christ. Also remember Jesus never tore the sinner down, even if this is the case, but he spoke in love for them to repent of their sins. He only spoke harshly to the hypocrites like the Pharisees.

  2. Does a tree bear fruit immediately. It takes time to grow doesn't it? If Pack said he knew Michael and how he spoke of his relationship with Christ, have you thought about maybe he was a babe in Christ?

  3. A few thoughts:

    1. How do I know what Mr Pack knows? (Point of clarification, I did not write this article, it came from Apprising Ministries.) I would say I can know what Mr Pack knows about salvation because he is a Rick Warren follower.

I know what Rick Warren knows about salvation because I have studied the Scriptures, I have read Warren's work, watched his witness, tested his theology and come to the inexcapable conclusion he is a false teacher promoting a false christ and a false gospel. The facts are shared for all on this blog.

    2. The Purpose Driven religious system promotes a false gospel that can not save anyone. (God can save people out of that system).

    3. The heart of the issue is not Michael Jackson's heart or his eternal state ( God's department, not mine ), the heart of the issue is which Jesus did Mr. Pack share with Michael. And we can know which Jesus( and the efficacy of salvation), because of the 2 points made previously.

    4. A tree bearing fruit? Let's take a look at what Christ was talking about:

    http://www.gotquestions.org/false-teachers.html

"Jesus warned us that “false Christs and false prophets” will come and will attempt to deceive even God’s elect (Matthew 24:23-27; see also 2 Peter 3:3 and Jude 17-18). The best way to guard yourself against falsehood and false teachers is to know the truth. To spot a counterfeit, study the real thing. Any believer who “correctly handles the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15) and who makes a careful study of the Bible can identify false doctrine. For example, a believer who has read the activities of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in Matthew 3:16-17 will immediately question any doctrine that denies the Trinity. Therefore, step one is to study the Bible and judge all teaching by what the Scripture says.

Jesus said “a tree is recognized by its fruit” (Matthew 12:33). When looking for “fruit,” here are three specific tests to apply to any teacher to determine the accuracy of his or her teaching.

...As Paul warns in Galatians 1:7, “Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.” No one, not even a great preacher, has the right to change the message that God gave us. “If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galatians 1:9)...

For further study, review those books of the Bible that were written specifically to combat false teaching within the church: Galatians, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, and Jude. It is often difficult to spot a false teacher/false prophet. Satan masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), and his ministers masquerade as servants of righteousness (2 Corinthians 11:15). Only by being thoroughly familiar with the truth will we be able to recognize a counterfeit."

Given the gross biblical error the Purpose Driven system represents, I fear hundreds of thousands of Rick Warren followers who think they are walking in The Way of the Christ of the Scriptures.

  4. And may I refer you to the piece under Defining The Believer's Call to Judge...

The True Gospel Produces True Children of God

If we are professing Christians, we would do well to heed Paul's admonishment to test ourselves to see if we are in the one, true faith.
    2 Corinthians 13:5

MJ was definatly and inspiration to us all. Check out the website link I posted. Michael had love and faith in in Jesus like you wouldnt imagine!
This makes me so happy. Michael showed me that no matter what you go through in like, no matter what people lie and accuse you of doing, the TRUTH will always shine in the end as long as you have God by your side :)
